Covid-19 Measures We Have Taken

Over the last couple of days, we’ve received much-appreciated feedback telling us how much you take comfort in knowing that you are being looked after. That’s why we’re here! Given the exceptional circumstances following the outbreak of COVID-19, we want to reassure you that we are dedicated to supporting you in any way we can during this period of uncertainty.

With the help of our NBF Emergency Response Team, which includes an infectious disease expert, National Bank Financial Wealth Management (NBFWM) has implemented several preventive measures to ensure the health and safety of both you and our team. Our Emergency Response Team meets daily to reassess the situation and to proactively address any new developments.

Here are the measures National Bank Financial and SilverBirch Wealth Management have implemented to date:

Our team members will be working remotely and will do so until further notice.

We have all the right technology and the right tools in place to continue to serve you. We do not anticipate any service interruptions.

Our systems and transactional tools have been tested. Regardless of where our employees are working from, your data is safe and your security remains our priority.

While our branches remain open at this time, we are strongly encouraging meetings via phone or video whenever possible.

Our head office has cancelled our National conference to protect us all and to better serve you.

All out-of-province personal trips regardless of the destination are subject to both National Bank and Government advisories including the established precautionary protocols (voluntary or mandatory isolation) prior to returning to work.

Also, our partner here at SilverBirch Wealth Management, Vanessa Benedict, sits on the Hospital Foundation Board at Lakeridge Hospital.

They have made this video so you can hear directly from them about how to protect yourself against COVID-19.

During these times of uncertainty and high volatility, please remember that past cycles have shown that remaining calm is the best course of action.

It is important to note that when we continue to adhere to our core investment principles of thinking long-term, preserving your capital through personalized risk management and maintaining a disciplined process through diversification - we have proven to beat the market.
