Four Wonderful Things

There are four wonderful things making us smile today that we’d like to share with you:

  1. Our office at National Bank on Thornton Rd. N is being renovated starting the second week of November. This will give us a fresh, new dedicated area where we can meet with you in person and we cannot wait. The work is expected to be complete in March 2022 so until then, meetings will primarily be done by phone or video call. We’re thrilled that this is finally happening and we will keep you updated as the work progresses.

  2. We just found out that Silverbirch Wealth Management has been voted Best Financial Planning Service and Investment Company for Clarington and Vanessa Benedict has been voted Reader’s Choice Best Financial Advisor for the Oshawa, Whitby, Clarington Region. It will be announced online and in the local paper on November 18th. We’ve been presented with Reader’s Choice awards every year since 2015 and it continues to inspire our team to keep striving for excellence in all we do. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to you for choosing to work with us and to all who voted for us!

  3. There’s nothing like a mom’s excitement at seeing their kid (no matter how old!) in the newspaper and Vanessa’s mom is as proud as can be. As a Lakeridge Health Foundation board member, Vanessa is on the Campaign Cabinet. They have just launched a new campaign to fund the expansion of the cancer center at Lakeridge Health so that people in our community needing treatment can get it close to home rather than having to travel to Toronto. Vanessa volunteers on the board in honour of her father who was a highly respected doctor for 45 years at Lakeridge Health, then Oshawa General and her connection to this particular campaign is deeply personal. Thirty years ago her mother was diagnosed with Renal Cancer. Thankfully, she made a full recovery and today she is a healthy, happy grandmother who gets a kick out of seeing her daughter in the newspaper.

  4. This last update falls into the bittersweet category. Loren Flores, our technology and digital services specialist since 2019, has left the Silverbirch team to work on a project in technology. It is a wonderful opportunity for Loren and although we miss her, we are absolutely thrilled for her. We are working on developing our team and will keep you updated.

These are all good things that we’re pleased to share with you. Some will require more planning and adjusting than others to make them work out well. We love hearing about what’s new with you and remember we are here to help you succeed in any way we can.
