TFSA - Tax Free Savings Account 

  • TFSA 2022 contribution amount $6000 

  • If you would like to contribute, please give our office a call. We can help you decide the best way to make that contribution. There can be a few choices depending on your situation.

  • If you do not have a Tax Free Savings Account and are interested in learning more, please give me a call      

  • Here are instructions on how to send money from your banking institution to your TFSA here with us:

How to Make an Online Contribution

1.    Done as a bill payment online

2.    Add National Bank Financial Inc. as a payee

3.    Enter your NBF account number with the W at the end (the W is very important)

IMPORTANCE OF SETTING UP THE BOX APP

Due to strict security protocols, we are no longer allowed to email you any confidential information – it can only be uploaded to Box.  If you have already set this up, we thank you.   

If you have not yet set up your Box app account, please note that it will be used to securely send: 

  • Tax Documentation 

  • Quarterly Reports to Managed clients 

  • All other confidential documentation between us such as statements.

2021 RRSP CONTRIBUTION DEADLINES

  • The RRSP contribution deadline for the 2021 tax year is March 1st, 2022.  

  • Please call your accountant or refer to your notice of assessment for the amount you are allowed to contribute for 2021.

  • If you need to make a last-minute contribution from any banking institution to your RRSP account here with us – please do so by February 22 to ensure it arrives on time:

TAX  INFORMATION 

A Tax Letter will be emailed to you in early March to let you know that you and your accountants can reach us if you need anything to complete your taxes.  

The fastest, most secure way for you to receive all the information you need from us to complete your taxes is to use The Box app. Alternatively, it can be sent to you in the mail from our head office.

  • Tax time: The deadline to File Personal Taxes for 2021 is April 30th, 2022

  • For Business owners, the last date to file is June 15th, 2022 

  • Please call us to get any missing slips or information you may need and we will upload them to your secure Box file or send it to you by mail from our head office.
